Craft Gin from Nara – the birthplace of Kampo medicine

Gin, originally created as a medicinal spirit, has long been closely connected to botanicals and herbs.
From our Yamato Distillery, which takes its name from the ancient name for Nara, "Yamato", our aim is to create gins that convey the history, culture, and terroir of Nara, a region where medicinal herbs continue to be cultivated to this day.

Our signature expression, KIKKA GIN, uses Nara-grown Yamato tachibana citrus and Yamato tōki (Japanese angelica), resulting in a flavour that evokes brightness and freshness, while also conveying a dignified depth rooted in history.
